Filipino Food & Seasonal Somebodies
The end of the year is upon us and with that… two illustrated wall calendars??
Hi friends,
Newsletter babies get perks. Today's perk is I’ve made two double-sided wall calendars for 2023…and you can shop these calendars a full two days before anyone else! >:)
The first calendar is called Little BBs. It has a seasonal character to accompany each month:
The second one is called Masarap, meaning “delicious” in Tagalog. It features some of my personal favourite Filipino dishes and desserts:
This calendar announcement is also directly related to other news: I have a tiny shop now! :) You can get both calendars there.
50% of proceeds from all Little BBs calendars sold will go to WISH Drop-in Centre. 50% of proceeds from the Masarap calendar will go to Yarrow Intergenerational Society. <3
The Masarap calendars will also be available at Fair Trade Fair this Saturday, Dec 3rd. Bayan Canada will be tabling at this market, and while I can’t be there in person, you can buy one from their table if you’re in the area. 100% of proceeds from calendars bought at this event will go to local Filipino anti-imperialist groups. There will also be many more goodies and wares there made by other talented cuties! You should check it out if you can.
A note on shipping: I can ship nationally/internationally! I’m also happy to deliver calendars for free within the area of East Van. Pick-ups can be arranged for anyone else living in the Lower Mainland.
Sadly, “we” (I, me, myself alone) do not yet deliver intergalactically. I’m waiting with patience for my evolution into a multinational corporation, which is only the first necessary step towards my desired final form: a planetary system with the ability to teleport mail to its inhabitants.
Covered in stamps, filled with love,
April
